Goals
The goals of the Center for Practical Evaluation are:
- Develop a promotional, evaluation framework that is useful and practical for diverse stakeholders involved in the evaluation process.
- Advance understanding of evaluation practice and theory through the conduct of research reviews and synthesis of the characteristics and consequences of a promotional approach by conducting evaluations.
- Investigate the characteristics and consequences of promotional approaches to evaluation.
- Strengthen the capacity of various stakeholders to conduct promotional evaluations through dialogue, training, and technical assistance with funders, policymakers, program staff and administrators, and program participants and community members.
- Develop evaluation methods and materials based on research findings and knowledge that inform the use of promotional approaches to evaluation.
- Disseminate products and promote utilization of evaluation resources and practices that promote and maximize the utility of asset-based, promotional, and capacity-building evaluation methods.
